Curious Moments provides a public stage for private individuala from the first half of the 2oth century. Curious Moments tracks down the ideas and inventions, desires and fantasies, fears and prejudices, visions and delusions of earlier generations. Curious Moments
is an historical treasure trove of a somewhat different kind. The reader will not find the great figures of modern history, but may well recognize old friends or distant relatives.
The pictures all come from the archive of the Stockholm agency Text och Bilder, which was taken over by Swedish television in the late 19605. This photographic collection provides a cornucopia of history as reflected in the press photographer's camera lens in the period from 1900 to 1967. We owe it to the Swedish television
archivists that almost seven million pictures with their accompanying texts have been preserved in their originai condition. Now this archive, known for short as SVT Bild, has opened up its treasure chest for this book.
Curious Moments stages a comedy with tragic interludes in 19 acts. I wish you all a great deal of enjoyment and a happy ending.
